Tour #3 “ Providence, The Capital City” Thursday July 28, 2011, 10:00 am - 1:00 pm $24 per person

Rhode Island's capital city is truly an historic gem. Visit Roger Williams National Memorial Park to learn about the founder of Providence. Continue the driving tour to view Brown University, the Rhode Island School of Design, the oldest First Baptist Church in America, WaterPlace Park and the well-preserved colonial homes along historic Benefit Street. Tour the Rhode Island State House, designed by McKim, Mead and White in 1891. The building is constructed of white Georgian Marble and has the fourth largest self-supported marble dome in the world. A portrait of George Washington by Rhode Island native Gilbert Stuart hangs in the building.

Rate based on 40 passengers $24.00 per person

Rate includes round trip motorcoach, guide for three hours and entry into the State House.
